Eliminated from
Star Plus' The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, comedian Shyam Rangeela's
video imitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi (with a mimicked version
of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi making a ‘guest appearance’) has gone
viral on social media.
Star Plus had
refused to air his act recorded for the channel’s reality show.
After about a
month he did the act, Rangeela was told to redo another act, which
was not on Modi.
Rangeela was not
amused because he had been invited by the channel to participate in the reality
show after his videos mimicking Modi and other politicians went viral on social
media.
According to
Rangeela, he was also told that he could do a mimic act on Rahul Gandhi if he
wanted- but later was stopped from that too.
The video in
question has now been taken
down following a copyright claim by a subsidiary of Star India Private
Limited, but is still present on the YouTube.
