Television actor Ssharad Malhotra who is currently seen in Star Bharat's Muskaan may soon bid adieu to the show. The reason is he doesn’t want to play a father on screen. The show is set for a 6-year-leap next month and will focus on twin daughters of Muskaan Singh (Yesha Rughani) and Raunak Singh (Ssharad Malhotra). Recently, their consummation scene was shown on screen and in the upcoming episodes, they will be blessed with twins.

Ssharad Malhotra who has played the main lead in shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Bharat Ka Veer Putr- Maharana Pratap and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki doesn't want to play a father on screen. A source from the sets revealed to us, "Ssharad is not willing to continue the show post leap. As the show which will now focus on 6-year-old kids and will soon show them as teenagers. Ssharad is not comfortable playing a father to them. He has already informed of his decision to the production team and they are trying to discuss with him.”


The show which kick-started with the struggles of Muskaan and her mother Arti who is a bar dancer is now focusing on Muskaan turning a police officer and how her husband Raunak is supporting her in it.


Recently, Mohit Malik aka Sikander of Kullfi Kumar Bajewala also said to the production team that he is not comfortable to play father to a grown up. However, in a recent interview with SpotboyE.com, the actor revealed that the leap isn’t happening and he is not quitting the show. It will be interesting to see what the producers decide in Ssharad's case. 

We tried contacting Ssharad for a quote but he remained unavailable to comment.
