Drashti Dhami shocked fans when she announced her exit from Colors’ Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, which also stars Shakti Arora and Aditi Sharma. The actress penned an emotional post and thanked the team for the experience. This morning, we brought to you the actress’ last scene – a suhaag raat sequence with Kunal (Shakti).

Now, we spill the beans on how the track is going to flow post Drashti’s exit and the subsequent 6-year leap. A source informs, “In the current track, Kunal has left Mauli after she admits to lying about her pregnancy. He returns to Nandini and the two tie the knot. Now, the show will take a 6-year leap where Nandini is no more and Kunal-Mauli are living separate lives. While Mauli is bringing up her daughter from Kunal, Kunal is looking after Nandini and his daughter. Meanwhile, Aditi’s friend Ishaan (Kinshuk Mahajan) enters the track and falls for her.” Isn’t it exciting?

A Still From Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka

We also hear, along with Kinshuk, two young girls will also enter the show. Yesterday, we brought to you an exclusive interview with Silsila producer, Sunjoy Wadhwa, who revealed that Drashti was not comfortable playing mother on-screen and hence exited the show. “The leap was always a part of the story. Changing the story was not advisable," he had said.

He had also clarified that the flak Nandini’s character received on social media has got nothing to do with her decision. "I think it was soon clear after 7-8 days into the show that an extra-marital affair between Nandini and Kunal was on the cards. Drashti had problems neither with that nor with the way the social media reacted (Read, erupted) after that. Also if you see carefully, we have never tried to say in the show who is right and who is wrong, let the viewer decide and we have no problem with that. And, reactions on social media spring up for almost every show don't they?"
