Late actor Sidharth Shukla's claim to fame was popular TV show, Balika Vadhu. He played Shivraj Shekhar and was paired opposite late actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who portrayed the role of Anandi. After the sudden death of the actor due to a heart attack yesterday(September 2, 2021), Pratyusha’s father revealed the actor had helped him and his wife during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pratyusha's father Shankar Banerjee mentioned the actor asked them about their well-being and forcibly sent them Rs 20,000.
The late actress' father stated the BB13 winner was in touch with him via WhatsApp and would often ask him if he needed any help. In an interview with AajTak, Shankar Banerjee said, “During this lockdown, he used to constantly message me. I got his last message a couple of months ago. He used to ask in the message 'Uncle, aunty do you need help?', 'Are you guys fine?', 'Can I help in any way?' He had forcibly sent ₹20,000.”
Shankar Banerjee considered the late actor as his son and said he was in a state of shock with this sudden news. He said, “I can't understand how this happened. I considered him to be my son. During Balika Vadhu, Sidharth and Pratyusha had become close friends. He used to come home as well.”
He added, however, after the actress’ death when people linked Pratyusha and Sidharth, he did not visit them. “After Pratyusha's death, many people talked about the relationship between Sidharth and my daughter, because of which Sidharth had stopped coming home. He often asked me in messages on WhatsApp,” added the actress’ father. ALSO READ:
