Actress Shweta Tiwari became a household name after portraying the role of Prerna Sharma in Ekta Kapoor’s 2001 television serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay. From then on she went on to entertain the audiences with her versatile performances and became one of the most adored actresses of Indian television. However, apart from her professional life, she also made headlines for her tumultuous relationships with her ex-husbands. She recently opened up about the negative effects her abusive marriages and divorces have had on her daughter, actress Palak Tiwari.
In an interview with Galatta India, the 43-year-old actress expressed her concerns and shared that she was worried how her failed marriages might impact Palak. Shweta often worried about her childhood since the youngster would always witness her mother in that phase. However, she credited her daughter for taking “everything positively” and moulding herself differently. She went on to add that more than her upbringing, it was her daughter’s sensibility that helped her become a strong woman.

Talking about Shweta Tiwari’s abusive and failed marriages, the actress tied the knot with Raja Chaudhary in 1998. They welcomed their daughter Palak Tiwari in 2000. After a few blissful years, their relationship hit rock bottom and the actress filed for divorce in 2007, which was granted in 2012. She went on to marry Abhinav Kohli in 2013. They welcomed their son Reyansh Kohli in 2016, however, she parted ways from her now ex-husband in 2019 on the grounds of domestic violence.
On the work front, Shweta Tiwari was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force. She shared the screen space with Vivek Oberoi, Shilpa Shetty, and Sidharth Malhotra. The show is a part of his ever-growing cop universe. She will be next seen in Zakir Khan’s upcoming show Aapka Apna Zakir.
