Shivangi Joshi-Mohsin Khan Resume Shoot Of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain After Sachin Tyagi, Swati Chitnis And Samir Onkar Test Positive For COVID -19

On Monday, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain shoot was brought to a halt after their actor Sachin Tyagi (Manish Goenka) was tested positive for COVID-19. Later, the makers issued an official statement on the development and also informed that their other two actors Swati Chitnis (Suhasini Goenka) and Samir Onkar (Samarth Goenka) have also tested positive along with the four crew members. 

However, shows main lead actors Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan who also underwent the precautionary test result, were negative which we exclusively informed you. Shivangi, who essays the character of Naira and Mohsin, who is playing Kartik on the show, has finally reached the set today (Filmcity) and the shoot has begun. After the actors and other crew members tested positive, the makers immediately informed the BMC officials. The track was currently focused on Sachin Tyagi, who is playing Mohsin's father in the show and has lost his memory in an accident and now behaving like a child. But considering he is under self-isolation at his home, the actor cannot resume the shoot. Hence, a major change in the track could also take place.

The official statement issued by the makers yesterday stated, "Swati Chitnis, Samir Onkar and Sachin Tyagi who are an integral part of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', have tested positive for COVID-19, but the three of them are asymptomatic. Due to safety reasons, they are in-home quarantine. BMC had advised them for the same as they were showing no symptoms. Immediately, the entire on-crew team was isolated and tested. Four crew members have now tested positive. The BMC has been informed and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated. Currently, all of them are receiving medical attention in-home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with them as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all safety and precautionary measures are adhered to."
