Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Jariwala recently surprised her fans in a recent chartbuster. Best remembered for her music video, Kaanta laga, Shefali Jariwala collaborated with Mika Singh for the music video of the 'Honthon Pe Bas' track from the Kajol and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Yeh Dillagi (1994).
The song featured their sizzling chemistry which received a great response. But do you know Shefali had also lent her voice in the song initially but dropped it later?
Sharing about it Shefali told SpotboyE.com exclusively, "I have thought of giving a try to singing. In fact, I have dubbed for 'hoton pe bas'. But I didn't like my voice next to Mika's. My sound was not suiting the song, it was Mika who was taking the song on the other level. So, then we decided not to use my voice. Actually Mika wanted me to dub for the song, so I did a few portions but when the final product came in it was a collective decision to drop my voice because it was really not working as what Mika did was magic." She also added, "See I know I can never sing as well as Mika or any established artist. Of course, I want to sing but here for me the song was more important than my voice being there. In future also I would try but only if my voice will suit the song it will be there or else I won't sing."
Although the actress is extremely happy with the response as she says, "It was quite a risk to redo an older song which has been so popular in that time. As I have told you earlier also Mika and I have been old friends and we always wanted to collaborate. And maybe we will collaborate again very soon. In fact, after this there are a lot of singers who have gotten in touch showing desire to collaborate with me. We are still at hoton pe bas zone right now but hopefully you will see me in more such music videos," says Shefali.
