The third season of Shark Tank India has been gaining a lot of attention from the audience. From the brands that arrive on the show to pitch their brands to the sharks to the playful banters between the sharks, netizens eagerly wait for the upcoming episode. Recently the co-founder and CEO of Aastey, an athleisure brand, Jeevika Tyagi opened up about her experience of pitching her brand Aastey on Shark Tank India 3. Her revelations come after she failed to impress the judges. Vineeta Thapar went as far as to call the brand ‘useless’ on national television.

Recalling the entire experience, Jeevika revealed in a recent podcast that she and her partner had asked Sony TV not to air their episode. Unhappy with how everything panned out during her pitch on the show, they didn’t want their footage to be aired as they felt humiliated. She went on to explain how they didn’t want to gain publicity from the episode at the cost of their mental health. Quoted by Bollywood Life, she expressed during the podcast, “Har cheez ki cost hoti hai or hum apne mental health ki cost pe kisi cheez ko badhawa nahi de sakte. We were contradicting ourselves so we were like we don’t wanted to be aired. It’s mental trauma. We just don’t want that kind of energy for our brand. Aur mil jaenge market me marketing opportunities.” Despite sending emails and communicating with the makers of the show, their efforts were in vain when they were asked to sent the logo of their brand. As soon as the video surfaced online, netizens brutally mocked the entrepreneur for her words. While many expressed their disappointment, some suggested that the brand should remove Shark Tank from their Instagram bio. Others schooled her for playing the victim card. As netizens continued to troll her, she took to the comment section of the post to hit back at them. She wrote, “Woah! So much hate here too. For what? I guess; love me, hate me, but clearly you can’t ignore me.”

Talking about the show, Shark Tank India is an Indian franchise of the American show of the same name, where known entrepreneurs listen to different business ideas and decide whether or not they want to invest in those ideas.
