Shark Tank India has become one of the most watched television reality shows. While the audience loved the first season, the second season has been called out for being as dramatic as television serials. In the recent episode, it was seen that the sharks were blown away by a personalised wheelchair brand, Neomotion. They heaped praises on the creators for their invention and Anupam Mittal went as far as to claim that they would receive Bharat Ratna Award.
The founders, however, don’t budge and say the least they could come down to was Rs 80,000. For the unversed, the brand had come on the show seeking Rs 1 crore for 1 percent of the company. While Anupam and Namita Thapar jointly offer them an investment of Rs 50 lakhs for 4 percent equity and Rs 50 lakhs in debts, the Neomotion creators stay firm on their demands, which leads the sharks to back off. It is Peyush Bansal who eventually gives them the deal they asked for after much back and forth.

For the uninitiated, the show is the Indian franchise of the American show of the same name, where known entrepreneurs listen to different business ideas and decide whether or not they want to invest in those ideas. This season sees Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boat), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of Sugar Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com) and Amit Jain (Co-Founder of CarDekho) as the sharks.
