Karan Johar has many friends in this industry. Too bad, Shahid Kapoor won't find himself in that list.

The two had collaborated together in Shaandaar, but trust us when we say that things are not 'shaandaar' between them . We hear, the two had a nasty fallout on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded.

So a few minutes ago, Karan Johar quit the show. But let SpotboyE.com tell you that he didn't leave it on a happy note.

Things had turned so ugly between him and Shahid that he was happy to let go of his judging duties, and buzz is, thankfully his contract (which was for a limited period) was coming to an end.

For those who've come in late, we had told you that Shahid was butting in the creatives and wanted the script and presentation to revolve essentially around him (Jhalak in trouble, July 28)

The latest buzz is that the Haider actor asked the makers of the show to up his contract money by 100% mid-season.

Poor thing, the makers didn't know what hit them. After their initial shock, reluctance and deliberation, they had no option but to give in.

Obviously, this move did not go down very well with KJo.

Shahid and KJo anyway haven't exactly been the best of friends in the past. Karan had offered 2 movies to Shahid - Kaal and I Hate Luv Storys. But the actor rejected them. Ouch! You don't do that to KJo, no?

Things recently started looking up for the duo. When Karan's film Ungli's release was clashing with Shahid's Phata Poster Nikla Hero, the actor had requested to Karan to shift his film and Karan had happily rescheduled the release of Ungli.

Next step is obviously to take the newfound friendship ahead. So they decided to work together on Shaandaar and then, in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. Umm...we all know how that went.

When contacted, Karan said, "My leaving Jhalak had nothing to do with Shahid. The Jhalak team always knew that I would be leaving at this point to start my film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I will be in touch with them on weekly basis. I should be back next season and I hope they still want me. I felt very sad and bad about my exit midway through the journey. Working with Shahid has been an incredible experience. We got along like a house on fire."

Shahid, on his part, had an emotional tweet for the filmmaker.

Okay then. If that's how these two want to play it, what can we say?

For those who got taken in by the rona-dhona that happened on the set during the last hour, this one was for you. And never forget, SpotboyE.com always brings you the asli khabar.
