Television’s most popular crime-based show Savdhaan India is all set to make a comeback on the small screen. The show which went off air in March last year will undergo several changes though. Actor Sushant Singh who has become synonymous with the crime-based show as the host, will unfortunately not be a part of it anymore. He is being replaced by Ashutosh Rana and Tisca Chopra.
Talking about the changes, Sushant told Bombay Times, “It is sad that my journey has ended. I was very attached to the show and I enjoyed being a part of it for so many years. But, every person desires a change and hopefully, it will be good. I have no right to question the makers why they decided to replace me. They informed me about it and I am okay with it.”
Tisca who is joining the team said, “The new episodes promise intriguing stories and I am excited to be part of a show that brings awareness about crimes in our society.”
Ashutosh also added, “I believe that each story in the show should alert viewers about the crimes in the country. I feel honoured to be the voice of a show like this.”
You may recall when the overnight decision of pulling the plug off had come; we exclusively got you the detailed story of how 800 people who were associated with the show became jobless. With this new beginning, a lot of people will get back to work but we will definitely miss Sushant Singh’s presence on the show.
