Actress Vaishali Takkar, who has been part of popular TV shows Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Sasural Simar Ka, was supposed to tie the knot with Dr Abhinandan Singh Hundal in two months time. The actress who had a surprise roka ceremony on April 26 was all set t o fly down to Uganda for her marriage in coming months. 

However, the actress has now postponed her wedding plans for all noble reasons and is currently helping out the people who are in need in this ongoing pandemic. In fact, Vaishali has joined hands with a student group (Student's Helping Hands) officially and she is actively volunteering in providing food and medical help to the poor people. Talking to SpotboyE.com exclusively, Vaishali Takkar said, "Times are really tough outside and looking at the ongoing situation I felt getting married is not a good idea. There are people who need our help and support in this crucial time. People are hungry out there and don't have food to eat. Also, not getting a proper medication. It's been a week Vaishali is actively working with the team, "I found them on Instagram and now it's been a week that I am actively volunteering in providing food to the people who sleep on footpaths. Rations to those who have no income to afford basic groceries. We as a team are making sure to give two meals and fruits to the people who have no homes and staying on the streets of Indore. We are also taking care of those who are in need of Blood, plasma, oxygen, clothes and basically anything required to anyone genuinely."

Vaishali now wants to continue doing social work as she mentioned to us, "I look forward to doing this forever now as it has given my life a new purpose . It gives me immense pleasure and honour to be a social worker and covid warrior. I have also made a vlog of it so that we can seek support from more people to help these causes."
