Controversy queen Sara Khan never fails to entertain fans
with her social media posts. Last week, poster of her upcoming song Blackheart
created a lot of buzz, where the actress is seen lying nude in a pile of
cotton. During the launch of the song, Sara had made some statements which
hurt sentiments of the Muslim community.
The video where the actress is seen speaking about how
trolls should not just propagate wearing burqa all the time and have parda instead
on their eyes, went viral and Sara starting receiving a lot of bashing for it.(watch
the 2nd video below)
Now, Sara has taken to social media yet again to
apologise to the community for her comment. She posted a selfie video
captioning it as, “Apologies to all the Muslims for what I said I don’t know
what I was thinking. Extremely sorry”. Here is the video where she is seen
saying sorry to fans.
In the video, Sara is seen saying that she didn’t mean what she said, the way she expressed it was probably wrong. She also adds that she is no one to point out anything about any religion. Sara concludes the video by saying, “Galti insaan se hoti hai and I am a human, so please forgive me for this.”
For those who’ve come in late, it all started during the launch of Blackheart when she gave a joint interview with Rakhi Sawant and decided to give it back to the trolls, who often insult her for wearing skimpy clothes in spite of being a Muslim.
When Sara was asked about her opinion on people who troll
her, she had said, “Just because Musalman community mein ye kaha jata hai ki
ladkiyon ka parda karna chahiye to ussi community mein ye kyun nahi kaha jata
ki ladko ko apne aakhon pe parda karna chahiye. Aur ladkiyon ko khula ghumna
chahiye, why not? I am Muslim and I have only one complain to the people jo
khade ho jaate hain burqa burqa bolte hue. Sharam karo apni aakhon par ki tum
vo chiz kyun dekh rahe ho? Hum kyun parda kare? Tumhe hamari sabse zyada izzat
karni chahiye ki hamne tumko paida kiya hai warna tum aate kahan se s**le?"
