Ace producer Ekta Kapoor has launched many actors through her television serials and movies. While some have vanished from the limelight altogether many have achieved heights of popularity. One of which is Radhika Madan. The actress, who made her debut as an actress with Colors TV’s Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi in 2014, has become one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood.
Recently, Radhika during an interaction with India Forums, during the promotions of Kuttey, opened up about why she transitioned from television to Bollywood. She opened up about the long working hours on television, the constant change in directors and story lines. Television actress Sayantani Ghosh, through her social media posts, expressed her displeasure, stating how Radhika is disrespecting the very medium that gave her break. Many television celebrities like Anita Hassanandani, Karanvir Bohra and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya have now come out to support the actress. Now, Kapoor too has shared her two cents on the situation. Sharing a video of Sayantani’s interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan, where she compared Radhika and Mouni Roy, on her now deleted Instagram stories, the head honcho of Balaji wrote, “Sad and shameful actors have no respect for their roots Kudos @sayantanighosh0609.”

For the unversed, Sayantani told Kannan, “I didn’t see her full interview, but I was a little hurt and disappointed and what I felt upon seeing that I posted underneath her video. Let me tell you, TV feeds hundreds and hundreds of women, and gives them employment, and biggest of movie stars also choose TV to come and promote their films. So I didn’t like that approach.” ALSO READ: Radhika Madan Goes BRALESS In Sexy Black Crop Blazer, Raising TEMPERATURE, Fan Says, ‘Damn Hot’- PICS INSIDE
She had also taken to the comment section of the interview to write, “Very happy for you @radhikamadan and an ardent admirer of you! I remember your last show and u were really good in it And if I remember correctly, it was a TV show. Indeed a great start to a promising career!! Just found this thought process a bit sorry! Putting down the world of tv is indeed sad! Everything in life has its way of functioning, has challenges/shortcomings and strengths! The world of tv too has its challenges, but let's not forget it gives employment to many and reaches millions of homes.. such immense is its reach that one has to choose this medium to promote his/her film! As a proud member of the tv fraternity I often fail to understand how often ppl use this medium just as a stepping stone.. it creates a base for most actors (like u n me).The world of Television deserves respect.. all the best for ur project and I'm sure I will catch u Promoting ur project in one of our tv shows.. cheers.”
On the work front, Radhika she has gone on to feature in movies like Kuttey, Pataakha, Shiddat, Angrezi Medium and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.
