Famous music composer Vishal Dadlani, who is currently on the judging panel of the popular musical reality show Indian Idol 11, is known to openly express his political views and opinions on his social media platforms. However, his recent Tweet about former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has left Twitterati fuming. Justice Ranjan Gogoi retired on November 17 as the Chief Justice of India and Vishal Dadlani faced severe backlash for his controversial tweet about the former CJI.  So much so, that # SackDadlaniFromIndianIdol started trending on Twitter.

Vishal Dadlani, on November 18, had tweeted, "Goodbye, ex-CJI Gogoi, and I hope you can stomach the disgraceful and cowardly legacy you have left this august Office. " Along with it, he also shared the link of an article and wrote, “This article by @gautambhatia88 sums it up.” After his tweet, several users criticized the musician for his tweet and while one user wrote, “Vishal, Deeply disappointed by your abusive reaction. You need to demonstrate greater respect towards the Indian culture and Indian institutions,” another one wrote, “SHAMEFUL Tweet by Vishal Dadlani against Former CJI Gogoi. In other news, Anu Malik’s comeback on Indian Idol 11, despite several #MeToo allegations leveled against him has not gone down well with many. Singer Sona Mohapatra recently called Vishal Dadlani a hypocrite and took a jibe at him for not taking a stand against Anu Malik.
