Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer Anupamaa is experiencing a new peak of success after the makers of the show introduced a 5-year leap. However, with the excitement of new tracks and introductions to new characters, the netizens have been left disappointed in some of the character arcs, one of them being Choti Anu aka Aadhya. Essayed by child actress Aurra Bhatnagar, who made a mark with her performance in Barrister Babu, Choti’s character is seen constantly expressing hate towards her adoptive mother Anu.

In yesterday’s episode, it was seen that Aadhya gets out of control and throws a rage-filled tantrum when Anuj tells her about his meeting with Anu. In the midst of her rage, not only does she push her father but she also threatens him to stay away from the woman, who ruined their lives. Her dialogues have not gone down well with the netizens as they immediately took to social media to condemn her character. Now, actress Rupali Ganguly, who essays the titular role, took to her social media handle to address the brutal trolling directed towards the 12-year-old actress. She went on to add how kids start getting adamant as they grow up. They start having emotional outbursts and react in a certain way. Requesting the fans to not hate Aurra’s character, she recalled her own experiences as a mother. Ganguly added that she personally enjoys the scenes between Anuj and Aadhya. Quoted by Bollywood Life, she said, “Being a mother in real life, there is a phase where the child yells 'I don't want to talk to you, I don't want to see you.' The child is hurt, not because he doesn't love his mother. Fathers also have such a wonderful role to play. I enjoy watching Anuj and Aadhya's bond on-screen. Even at my place, my son is more attached to my husband because he is such a fantastic father.”

Apart from Rupali Ganguly, Gaurav Khanna, and Aurra Bhatnagar, the show also stars Sukirti Kandpal, Vaquar Shaikh, Chandni Bhagwanani, Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Nishi Saxena, Kunawar Amarjeet Singh, Trishaan Shah, and many others in pivotal roles.
