What's in a kiss, you ask? Well, when the kiss is breaking the internet and you can't hear the end of it - you want to hear about it from the horse's mouth. In this case, Ravi Dubey, who is known for shows like 12/24 Karol Bagh and Jamai Raja. He is all set to reprise his role from Jamai Raja in the upcoming spin off series.

Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma and Achint Kaur will also be seen reprising their roles in the upcoming digital reboot of the popular show, Jamai Raja. After their hit TV show Jamai Raja, Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma have paired up once again, and this time, for a web series. The new series has the same star cast of the TV show. As it’s a digital show, the couple’s chemistry is more enhanced than their small screen version. But not many are aware that while shooting an intimate scene for the show, Ravi almost called it quits. A source says, “They had to shoot for a kissing scene, and as Ravi had never done one before on screen, he wasn’t too comfortable on the sets. He almost refused to do it, and the team had to reach out to his wife Sargun Mehta to convince him to do it.”

Ask Ravi about the incident, and he says, “In 15 years of my career, I have never kissed a co-actor on screen and it was tough. I had huge reservations and inhibitions about it. I was so nervous the day we shot for it. In real life, Sargun never shies away from anything. I did tell her about the kissing scene and she said, ‘Why are you running it by me?’. She was supportive of me doing the scenes. In fact, I told my mother and mother-in-law as well that the show has kissing scenes. I have to give credit to my co-star Nia, who made me comfortable. Her work ethic and the way she went ahead with it was commendable. Now, when I see the trailer, I realise it doesn’t make you uncomfortable, but adds to the story.”

Web shows are known to have bold content and intimate scenes but Ravi feels they should be really required in the story. “Just for the sake of having them is a no-no. If a script requires you to wear a certain kind of make-up or outfit or walk in a certain way, then it can also have other kind of requirements. Then, it depends to what extent are you fine with it. I am glad that this one big inhibition in my life is gone,” he signs off.
