It came as a shock to the netizens that Bollywood actresses Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra had buried their hatchet, after the latter had filed a complaint against the other for showing her objectionable photos to the media. Sherlyn has been supporting the Main Hoon Na actress through her messy separation with estranged husband Adil Khan Durrani. In a recent interaction with ETimes, they revealed what really went down between them.
When asked about the internet's most burning question, the actresses started laughing and Rakhi jokingly said, “Gade murdey kyun ukhaad rahe ho.” Speaking to Vickey Lalwani, Sherlyn shared that her fight was never with Rakhi. Adding further, Sherlyn said, “It was my fight against some other people and Rakhi intervened. I showed her the proof of video and audio chats and she said that 'ab main tumhari ladai ke beech nahin aaungi'.”
While they refused to share more details on what the proofs were, Rakhi shed light on the causes she and Sherlyn will be working on. She said, “we are going to fight many causes together. Atrocities against single women, for one. Then why do sex workers not get a pension after retirement? We are also gonna fight for married women who have to bear the brunt at the hands of their husbands. It's not going to be easy, though. Talking about what went down between the actresses, last year they got into an ugly spat when Rakhi came out in support of #MeToo accused Sajid Khan and slammed Chopra for her statement against the filmmaker. Addressing the media, Rakhi accused Sherlyn of running a Sextortion Racket where she seduces influential people and later blackmails them. She had also called Sherlyn a ‘porn star’ in front of the media and showed her objectionable pictures.
