Shaheer Sheikh and Ankita Lokhande's Pavitra Rishta 2 is now streaming on Zee5. While Ankita is reprising her iconic role of Archana, Shaheer Sheikh has stepped into late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Hiten Tejwani's shoes as Manav. Talking about Shaheer, in particular, the actor has been receiving an amazing response for his performance as Manav. Fans can't stop showering praises on him.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shaheer opened up about the pressure of stepping into Sushant Singh Rajput's shoes. The actor revealed that he was nervous when he had started playing the character. He added that it was a big relief when his co-stars Usha Nadkarni and Ankita both approved the way he was looking.
"They could feel that earnestness, and the overall aura of the character was there, which was a big confidence booster for me, as they have spent so much time on the show. They were a part of season one and nobody could have judged that better than them," he added. The actor also said that whenever he is playing a character he tries to forget everything else. "I try to forget that I am Shaheer, so that makes it easier for me," he added. He also shared that the team tried to make him comfortable from day one and that is why it didn't take him time to get into the character. In fact, the first thought I had was, "Mujhe accept hi nahi karenge log," said Shaheer.
