Older Mahabali Hanuman lies in wait

It’s a classic case of all dressed and nowhere to go. After having his face splashed on every billboard announcing him as the lead of Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, Nirbhay Wadhwa is still waiting to be introduced in the series. This, when the popular TV show has been on air since May last year. The actor has no option but to sit at home and twiddle his thumbs.

While Nirbhay was signed on to play the adult version of Hanuman, the show is currently focussing on the mythological character’s childhood. Since the mythological series is garnering impressive TRPs, the makers are delaying the time leap.

Says Nirbhay, “I was originally told that my stint would start around August, but it has been almost 9 months and I still haven’t shot for a single sequence.”

Nirbhay is hopeful that his track will begin before his contract expires in March. “We don’t have a set storyboard in place. But the producers have told me that the time leap will take place soon,” he signs off.
