If there’s one good thing that has happened amid the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown, it has to be the re-airing of all the classic Doordarshan shows on our television screens. The list includes Ramayan, Mahabharat, Chanakya, Shaktimaan, Shriman Shrimati, Byomkesh Bakshi and Circus among several others. Well, it indeed took fans a trip down the memory lane and the re-telecast of almost all these shows have managed to garner path-breaking TRPs, especially that of Ramayan and Mahabharat. And to express gratitude for the same, Nitish Bharadwaj, who played Lord Krishna in Mahabharat, has made his debut on social media.

Earlier, the actor was only on Facebook; however, with all the love Mahabharat and his portrayal of Lord Krishna is receiving, Nitish has also joined Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to connect with his fans across the globe. Sharing his debut video on all social media platforms, Nitish said, “You all have now become my online family. Two days ago I had posted a video about Mahabharat which was viewed by 35 lakh people and reached more than one crore people. This is a miracle, it isn't my power, it is the blessing of God and your love."

He continued, “This has encouraged me to start my YouTube channel, Instagram account and Twitter handle, which I have begun from today. People were writing that I am Krishna, but no, I am a simple mortal man... If I have said something nice, then the credit goes to the scriptures, my parents and teachers. All of the shortcomings are just mine.”
