Famous Television actor Kushal Punjabi’s sudden death was a shock to one and all. Yesterday morning we woke up to the news of Ishq Mein Marjaawan actor’s sad demise. It was his close friend Karanvir Bohra, who had taken to social media and informed his fans and followers about his death. He was 37. Later SpotboyE reported that the actor, who was in depression, hung himself at his Bandra flat and a suicide note was found in his flat, in which he did not blame anyone for taking this drastic step.
Today, the actor’s funeral is taking place today. His last rites will be performed at Santa Cruz Crematorium, at 12 noon. Celebs from the Television fraternity have started coming in to pay their last respects to the Salaam-E-Ishq actor. Punjabi’s co-star Arjun Bijlani, Karanvir Bohra, Shenaz Treasury, Diandra Soares and Karan V Grover with girlfriend Poppy Jabbal among others have arrived for his last rites. His wife and his son were in France when he took the drastic step. In his suicide note, he mentioned that he has asked his family to distribute his assets between his family and his son.
Meanwhile, SpotboyE has been speaking to his close friends and his colleagues have been posting on social media how his sudden death has shocked one and all. FIR actress Kavita Kaushik took to Instagram and stressed on the importance of mental health in the caption.
Her caption read, “Kushal was a fighter .. he would be doing something new each time that we would connect, we were colleagues and not close friends but I know his family.. his parents and sister, they are simple and good people .. why did no one see this coming? Cos mental health is a f*ckin serious issue and people hide what’s really troubling them, each one of us as at some point are bound to be in a dark space !! That’s life.”
