Actor Kushal Punjabi's sudden death has shocked one and all. His friends from the film and Television fraternity are devastated and have been taking to social media to pay their heartfelt condolences.

We got in touch with his co-star Aalisha Panwar who worked with him in Ishq Mein Marjawaan. The actress is heartbroken and completely shaken up by the news.

When did you come to know about Kushal’s demise?

It is very shocking to know Kushal is no longer between us because today morning, when I woke up, I saw all those updates regarding his death that shook me up completely. It took me almost 5-10 minutes to realise that this has really happened. In fact, I am still in a dilemma.

It’s indeed saddening, but did you ever think that someone like Kushal could take such a drastic step?

I exactly don't know what happened. We can't judge someone's problems through social media.

There have been reports that Kushal had a disturbed personal life…

I have no clue what was exactly happening in his personal life. I have worked with him and I know him as an amazing artist, co-actor and definitely a friend. He was a gem of a person so he will always be missed. I really don't know what was the actual reason behind him taking such a big step. Sadly, the loss which has happened cannot be rectified.

Considering the fact that you have worked with him on-screen, did you ever feel that he’s going through some personal crises?

My experience of working with him was really nice. Kushal was so active, lively and full of life. He used to always smile. I have not seen a single time where he was upset or sad about anything. He was very kind to everyone and never behaved rude. His favourite topics included adventure, bike riding, gym, fitness. He used to keep talking about his little kid and the chemistry between both of them. So whenever he used to be around there was a very healthy atmosphere.

What will you miss the most about Kushal?

I will remember him for his jokes as he was such a humorous person. It used to be so much fun being around him. At the same time, he was also a very good dancer.
