Coronavirus cases are increasing day by day. Given the rise in Coronavirus cases, Maharashtra government recently announced a curfew in the state and shooting of TV shows, films and ads have come to a halt. Pooja Banerjee, who is one of the popular stars in the TV industry and currently stars in Kumkum Bhagya, opened up about the same and the actress is upset and worried about the daily wage workers. In an interview with ETimes TV, Pooja shared that while she understands the government's decision to do so, she isn't quite happy about it.

She said, "It's disheartening that shooting for films and serials have come to a halt. While I know we need to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 and I totally support the government's decision knowing fulling that this decision has been taken for the health and safety of the citizens of Maharashtra, I feel we also need to take care of our finances and people who are dependent upon us. There are several daily wage earners who are dependent on the Entertainment industry."

The Kumkum Bhagya actress further added, "Many of these daily wage earners will lose their livelihood and the Entertainment industry will surely face a loss. Having said that, all the channels and producers are trying to look for alternate ways for shoots to go on, however, things are uncertain at the moment."

The actress also mentioned that she understands the logic behind halting the shoots as many actors and crew members tested positive for the novel coronavirus. "However, while thinking about the daily wage earners, I feel we should find some solution and continue shooting in some other location maybe, if that is possible. If not, I would be open to even taking up something else outside Mumbai also, if I get something."
