Unlocking phase 1 post 3 months long COVID-19 lockdown, saw makers of certain shows resume to the shooting floor, one of them being the TV reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, hosted by Rohit Shetty. With the show beginning with the airing of fresh new episodes the audience saw the first elimination as the show resumed and aired on the leading GEC. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Karan Patel, was out of the race after he competed with Beyhadh 2 actor Shivin Narang and TV actress Karishma Tanna.
The stunt that got Karan Patel eliminated from the show, was divided in multiple phases, which he could not complete. Though Rohit Shetty pushed him to complete the stunt, Karan who is claustrophobic, gave up as he was pretty sure about not being able to do it. This stunt involved finding keys hidden in boxes to unlock a lock which would allow the contestant to complete the task, with ultimately the contestant too coming out of the box.
While the first stage had the contestant find the key while pigeons poked him, the next stage had a box with a crocodile, followed by a huge snake thus ultimately leading to completion of the task.
While Shivin was the first one to attempt the task, Karishma followed the next, with Karan being the last in the queue. Elimination of Karan Patel got Tejasswi Prakash teary eyes as she had teamed up with Karan for many stunts.
