Kavita Kaushik stood up for migrant workers and addressed the issue of them having to pay for train tickets to go back home amid deep financial distress. Recently, Indian Air Force choppers flew past hospitals in several places across India, as the forces expressed their gratitude to medical professionals and all frontline workers in the fight against Coronavirus. In several places, flowers were also showered from the helicopters outside hospitals. Kavita Kaushik reacted to this news and put forth her view saying that these resources and oil should have been used to send migrant workers back home, without charging them for the train fare. She also said that instead of showering flowers, they could've used the funds for buying kits that could have saved lives.

While most agreed with Kavita Kaushik, a few felt that boosting the doctors and medical workers’ morale is also of utmost importance. While one user wrote, “Indian Railways gave 151 crores to PM CARES and is charging migrant workers for intrastate railway tickets to send them home. How shameful,” another user wrote, “One thing is true, do anything people will find flaws. If nothing would have happen to in courage the doctors than these people said government is not giving any appreciation to our front line warriors.” ALSO READ: Adhyayan Suman Has Left The Kangana Ranaut Chapter ‘Miles Behind In Life’; Reacts To Kavita Kaushik’s Tweets In His Support
