Looks like it's going to be a while before a consensus is reached on the Pakistani artistes-MNS controversy. While several celebs have expressed their stand on the issue, TV actor Karan Patel, who is known to be quite opinionated, took to Instagram to showcase his angst on the matter. Have a look.

His post did not go down well with his fans and they asked him to delete it. Realising the gravity of the situation, the actor adhered to their request and deleted his Instagram post. Later, he took to Twitter to apologise for what he said.

For the uninitiated, in the wake of the Uri attacks that killed 18 Indian soldiers, MNS had issued diktat asking Pakistani artistes to leave the country in 48 hours. Following the diktat, actors such as Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan returned to Pakistan (Fawad And Mahira Are NOT In India, Says MNS, Sep 26). Bearing the brunt of the controversy were singers Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. While the former’s concert was cancelled in Gurgaon (Atif Aslam’s concert gets cancelled in Gurgaon, Sep 29), the latter was ousted from producer TP Aggarwal’s film, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana (MNS Effect: Pakistani Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Thrown Out Of A Film, Sep 28).

Yesterday, we told you that The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has now decided not to work with Pakistani artistes until peace returns between India and Pakistan (IMPPA Bans Pakistani Artistes, Sep 29).
