Juhi Parmar became one of the most adored actresses on Indian television during the 2000s. She made a name for herself in the industry when she starred in the serial Kumkum, which aired from 2002 to 2009. While she went on to do more serials and was last seen on the web show Yeh Meri Family Season 2, that serial is still close to many fans. During a recent interaction, she opened up about facing a tough time because she was continuously shooting for the show.

Talking to a media publication, she also revealed that she would never regret the hard work she put in while shooting for Kumkum. Juhi shared that the team of the serial would jokingly call the set ‘Mogambo’s den’ as while there was a fixed time to start the shoot, there was no fixed time to leave. She went on to recall how she used to shoot for 30 hours non-stop. She would have to continue working even if the teams changed their shifts.

Quoted by ABP news, she added, “There were so many days when people used to pack up, leave, come back the next day and I would still be shooting. People would change, the unit would change, but I would be working round the clock. There was no time limit and the pressure was too much.”

The 42-year-old actress expressed how television shows were the rage during the early 2000s, and even the producers had no idea how to handle churning out episode after episode for an entire week, which led to extended working hours. Calling it the nature of television, Juhi revealed that it can be very demanding. She added, “If it’s not workable for you, then you shouldn’t do it. That’s the requirement of this medium. So you should be mentally prepared to do it.”
