So far so good. Jasleen Matharu's father, Kesar Matharu, informs SpotboyE.com, when I called him few minutes ago, that the extortionist who had told him that he would be calling on March 20 to tell him where and how he needs to bring Rs 25 lakh, did not make any call yesterday. "Today is March 21. The call didn't come yesterday, unlike what the caller had said."
However, Kesar Matharu has been following up with the police. It may be recalled that he had promptly filed a complaint at the Oshiwara Police Station. "They have told me that the Extortion Cell is looking into the matter," he also revealed.
The trauma for Jasleen and her family began about a week ago when some caller, who refused to identify himself, called her father Kesar Matharu saying that 'if he didn't hand over Rs 25 lakh, his family and he would be killed."
The caller had called Kesar Matharu more than once from the same number but did not take Kesar Matharu's calls when he called back.
