Veteran actress Zeenat Aman recently graced the popular singing reality show Indian Idol 13 where she was joined by Poonam Dhillon. Both actresses were invited for a special episode dedicated to them and contestants sang their blockbuster songs. Notably, after listening to Debosmita Roy’s performance on her popular tracks, Zeenat recalled shooting for her evergreen song ‘Chura Liya Hai’ from the 1973 film ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’ and stated she never thought this song would become an iconic number.
While praising Debosmita, the Satyam Shivam Sundaram actress said, “It is an iconic song, and in those days I did not know that the song would have such a long shelf life. You sang it beautifully. I really believe in this and I want this for you as well, and I hope you succeed in the future. I see you in the Top 3, honestly. Your innocence translates in your voice. So, I really enjoyed the performance and loved the way you sang the song.” ALSO READ: When Sanjay Khan Permanently Damaged Ex-Wife Zeenat Aman's Eye After Beating Her Brutally In A Hotel Room And Almost Broke Her Ribs
Interestingly, both Zeenat and Poonam also gave tributes to each other by performing each other’s songs. Poonam recreated the iconic song 'Dum Maro Dum' from the film 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna', which was picturized originally on Zeenat. On the other hand, Zeenat performed the song 'Tu, Tu Hai Wahi' from the movie 'Ye Vaada Raha' that had Poonam in the lead.
One of the main highlights of the episode was Zeenat setting the stage on fire by dancing to her song 'Hum Dono Do Premi' with contestant Shivam Singh.
Talking about the show, Indian Idol 13 is judged by Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar, and Himesh Reshammiya and airs every weekend on Sony Entertainment Television.
