Indian Idol concluded its recent season with a bang on Sunday night. The popular music-based reality show found its winner in Rishi Singh. He left the audiences and the judges spell-bound with his angelic voice. He beat Deboshmita Roy and Chirag Kotwal in the grand finale and became the recipient of the winner title. Belonging from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the young singer took home the golden trophy, Rs 25 lakhs as the prize money and a luxurious car.

While Deboshmita became the first runner-up of the Indian Idol 13, Chirag became the second runner-up. The makers of the show took to the official social media handles of the television channel to announce the winners and share glimpses from the musical grand finale night. Fans have been showering the contestants with immense love and adoration for their amazing journey on the show. The 19-year-old in a statement expressed his gratitude for getting a chance to take forward the legacy of the prestigious show. DNA quoted him saying, “It is a huge honour to be taking ahead the legacy of such a well-loved and prestigious show. I am grateful to the channel, the judges, and the entire team of Indian Idol for giving us such a wonderful platform to showcase our talent.” He went on to also thanks his fans for all the love and support they showered on his him throughout his journey. For the unversed, the show was judged by Vishal Dadlani, Himesh Reshammiya and Neha Kakkar, who left the show mid-way. Hosted by Aditya Narayan, contestants Bidipta Chakraborty, Sonakshi Kar, Shivam Singh were also hailed for their performances as they were a part of the top 6.
