Indian Idol 12 sees new guests and new special episodes that not only amplifies the entertainment quotient but also allows the contestants to explore their versatility in singing as they get the chance to sing some diverse songs on stage. Similarly, for the Eid special episode, everyone gave an impactful performance that impressed judges - Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar, Anu Malik and the guest of the episode, Sukhwinder Singh. Among many, contestant Ashish Kulkarni also spellbinds everyone with his performance as he sang Noor-e-Khuda. However, he revealed what connected him to his song.
He revealed that he has also kept Roza for a day. He said, “I have kept Roza for a day, and I was with Danish Bhai throughout the day who gave me an in-depth knowledge about Roza and other important things”. He further continued, ‘I always sing fast songs. When it was decided that I would sing this song, I could not connect to this song for a long time. So, I kept Roza to connect with God. I think I managed to connect too,’ adding, “It is truly been an almighty day for me where I was just praying to god and got peace of mind for the same.” After which, his good friend Mohammed Danish breaks his Roza by getting his iftar done. He said that everyone has organised an iftar for him but he wants to make Ashish feed.
Danish makes him drink a shake and some munchies after his performance. Meanwhile, Ashish is one of the top contestants in the show and of course, he is the judges favourite as well. When Kulkarni sang ‘Aye Bhai Zara Dekh Ke Chalo and Tumne Mujhe Dekha Hokar Meherbaan, Anu Malik praised him for his singing talent and asked him for his autograph.
