Sona Mohapatra doesn’t want to leave a single chance to slam music creator and #MeToo accused Anu Malik or things related to him. Sona has been targeting Indian Idol season 11 ever since it kick-started a few months back. Firstly for getting #MeToo accused Anu Malik out from the show after National Commission Of Women sent a notice to Sony TV and now for its cheap tactics to gain the viewership. Remember, the contestant who had forcefully kissed judge Neha Kakkar without her consent on the stage? The video had gone rapidly viral and even her co-star Visha Dadlani even tweeted about the incident and said that he wanted to call the police but Neha intervened. Now, in her recent post, Sona Mohapatra, who’s known for her unfiltered opinion, slammed the Indian Idol 11 makers for using the ‘kissing video’ for their ‘commercial gains.’ In her Facebook post, she posted, “Sony TV taking Anu Malik as a judge was a planned, considered & devious choice. They wanted to ride on his infamy for publicity, eyeballs & attention. That their marketing strategy included a contestant forcibly kissing a female judge & that clip making it to the show edit & also ‘made’ viral confirms this intent. Using the theme of ‘sexual harassment’ for promotion & commercial gain is an all-time low & in a country where women have very little agency & choice, it is especially disgusting. I’m dead sure people in the Sony TV team have clinked glasses, gotten promotions & laughed at the whole country while taking the audience for a jolly ride. Sickening, inhuman promo strategy, corporate ethics or responsibility etc be damned off course. Evil corporations do exist clearly & not just in books & cinema.

In her post, she lastly asked Vishal Dadlani of he’s still a part of this sickness or if he’s ready to quit? “How much money is worth being part of this deathly swamp, I ask,” her post concluded.
