Indian Idol 1 winner, singer Abhijeet Sawant tests positive for COVID-19. Taking to his Instagram stories, Abhijeet posted a series of videos of him and informed his fans about his health. In the video, Sawant mentioned he had a fever for the past two days. The singer shared he was not well. He revealed that he underwent a swab test due to his ill-health. Abhijeet, who tested has positive, mentioned that he was sure that he has contracted the virus. The singer has home quarantined himself.
Abhijeet Sawant also made a tweet on his Twitter handle, informing fans about his health. The singer tweeted, " I tested Covid positive.. Be safe take all precautions. Don’t ignore wearing mask #CoronavirusIndia #COVIDSecondWave #Govinda #bollywoodsinger #Bollywood." Sawant asked fans and followers to wear a mask and take proper precautions when headed out. He asked fans to not ignore wearing a mask. Abhijeet also asked them to 'Be Safe' amidst the tough times.

Meanwhile, in the video, the singer, talking to an imaginary friend, Abhijeet Sawant said that they are going to be his friend for the next 14 days. He added, “Waise toh main bohot positive rehta hu lekin this time I tested positive, for Covid.”Sawant also propagated the importance of testing and said, “Please take care all of you, and even if you have mild symptoms, please get tested.” The singer continued, “Even if it’s positive, there is no need to worry. What’s really important is that you shouldn’t spread the virus ahead.
