It’s that time of the week when one gets to know which TV show has topped the list on the TRP chart, and to our surprise the all-time favourite and also the longest-running show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been out of the top 5 spots. The show which has entered this list is the sequel of popular TV show Saath Nibhana Saathiya, titled Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 registering its place on the number 3 spot. While audiences have enjoyed the return of this show with its old cast, the viral video of Rasode Mein Kaun Tha, added more popularity to it.
Besides this, new show Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly in the pivotal role has been liked by the audience thus making it to the top of the list. Next is pre-lockdown show Kundali Bhagya, starring Dheeraj Dhoopar and Shraddha Arya on the number 2 spot. Followed by Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 on spot number 3, Kumkum Bhagya manages to get the fourth spot on the list which was earlier on the third spot.
Lastly, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin manages to grab the fifth spot on the list. Well, this indicates why makers are pulling the plug on the older shows, thus making way for the new ones.
In this list besides Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya, shows which have managed to make to the top 5 spots are new, which have kick-started post the COVID-19 lockdown.
