Yesterday, news
channels and social media were abuzz with the news of Hina Khan being
accused by a jewellery brand for a fraud of Rs 12 lakh. The jewellery brand
sent a legal notice to the actress claiming that Hina Khan's stylist, Hemlata
Perimal, requested them for their jewellery to style Hina Khan for Dada Saheb
Phalke Awards in April, this year. However, Hina did not return the jewellery after
the event. And now the brand has given her 15 days time to return back their
jewellery. Hina had written a tweet about it yesterday, rubbishing the news.
And now she has spoken to a news channel elaborately, explaining her side of
the story.
Hina Khan while talking to ABP News exclusively said, "Firstly I didn't wear their jewellery as I didn't like them and opted for another one. My stylist Hemlata's assistants misplaced it in auto rickshaw. Though she is trying hard to return it back and she has already returned around 2lac 86k. Media houses are discussing legal notice which has reached to them unfortunately and not me. I just want to say show me the signatures of receiving on it. But definitely this incident has defamed me, so, my lawyers are looking into it. They don’t know what is going to happen to them. They are definitely going to receive a legal notice from me. I will make sure they apologise.”
