Himesh Reshammiya rose to fame as he crooned to the title track of the movie, Aashiq Banaya Aapne that marked his debut in Bollywood as a playback singer. Later as the years passed by he donned several hats such as that of a singer, composer, producer, actor and also a reality show judge. Today as he turned a year older, here's recalling the time when Himesh once shared that having Salman Khan lend support did not let him experience a hard journey in the industry. Also back then he shared to be in total favour of being part of a camp in Bollywood, helping a lot.
These statements were made by the singer-composer, during his 2012 interview with Hindustan Times. As he mentioned the importance of being part of the camp and credited Salman Khan for supporting him, he said, “If you are sticking to a camp (in Bollywood), it works because (of) the platform (it provides). There are so many more talented people than me but how will they prove their talent? So yes it is important to be a part of a camp.” Stressing on it further he states having a backing works wonders.
Himesh adds, “Also, at the same time you need to be ready creatively at any given point. When you get a break, you can’t start working and follow a deadline. You should be creatively ready, pray to God and if you get a chance to have someone to back you, it works wonderfully.”
Himesh and Salman have worked together on projects such as Tere Naam, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Bodyguard. Later Himesh marked his acting debut with the movie, Aap Ka Suroor in 2007, followed by being starrer in Karzzzz, Radio, Khiladi 786 and The Xpose.
