Guru Nanak Jayanti is an auspicious day that marks the birth anniversary of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak. One of the most sacred festivals in India, this year, Guru Nanak Jayanti will be observed on November 30, 2020. However, amidst Covid-19 pandemic TV celebs talk about their major missing during the festival this year Pavitra Bhagya, actor Kunal Jaisingh says he will be missing langar. He recalls singing hymns, reciting Katha and more on this occasion.

He shares, "On the day of Gurupurab, I remember how devotees sing hymns and recite Katha. Following this is langar, a special community lunch, arranged by volunteers at Gurudwaras but this year I'm going to miss that amid pandemic. In some sites, night prayer sessions are also held that begin around sunset and last till late night." Following him, actor Puneett Chouksey, last seen in the TV show, Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story, plans to visit a Punjabi friends' house instead of Gurudwara.

He adds, "I remember visiting Gurudwara, with my friends for the festival. I have attended the spiritual lectures but will be missing this year. Amid pandemic, I feel instead of gurudwara I'll visit my friend's place. They might have small celebrations at home. Earlier I remember how excitingly the celebrations on this day begin with Prabhat Pheris or early morning processions that begin at the Gurudwara. Two days before Guru Nanak Jayanti, Akhand Path or a forty-eight-hour non-stop reading of the Guru Granth Sahib (the holy book of the Sikhs) is held in the Gurudwaras."

Devoleena Bhattacharjee, The TV most popular Bahu will miss listening Gurbani. The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress says, "I have always tried to attend and listen Gurbani, which will be a major missing this time as I'll be at home amid pandemic. The congregation starts singing Gurbani at about 1:20 am., which is the actual time of the birth of Guru Nanak. The celebrations culminate at around 2 am. The midnights makes you feel so beautiful and positive. The feeling can't be just expressed by words."
