Ever since the lockdown began in March, the shooting of Television shows, Films, and web-series has been put on hold. To curb Coronavirus spread, no new shoot took place. However, now that Unlock Phase 1 has been announced, Maharashtra Government has given permission to the TV industry to resume shooting. However, a long list of guidelines has been set for the producers and the crew of the show. As per reports, only 33 percent of the crew can be present on the sets and the shooting can begin only in non-containment zones of Maharashtra.

As reported by Pinkvilla, the production house has to have an ambulance, doctor and nurse available on the set all the time. Plus, there have to be three washrooms that require sanitisation every hour. Temperature checkup of every crew member needs to be carried out before entering the sets while a member above 65 years is not allowed on set. Likewise, pregnant women to be not allowed on the sets.

Further, casting for the shows is required to be done through an online process. While on sets, all the members are to follow social distancing and wear masks. For actors, they are expected to dress up in their costumes from home and arrive on sets with very little staff. Makeup artistes are ordered to wear face masks and shields while working on celebrities. Moreover, for non-fictional shows, costume sourcing has to be avoided.

The production house has to take full responsibility and look after the staff if anyone contracts Coronavirus on sets. For this move, Ekta Kapoor thanked Maharashtra Government tweeted, "Would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the honourable @CMOMaharashtra UddhavJi, for considering our requests to begin work in a phased out manner by easing restrictions on films and television shooting."  (Also Read: Lockdown 5 Announced: Extended Till June 30 With Containment Zones To Observe Strict Regulations)
