Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently took a generational leap post which new lead stars joined the show. Following which fan favourties Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh aka SaiRat bid adieu to the show. Later, Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma entered the top-rated Star Plus show as the new leads.
Interestingly, a recent report suggests that makers had also approached Fahmaan Khan and Ulka Gupta to essay the lead roles of Ishaan and Savi after the leap. While both actors confirmed the buzz and maintained that they were in talks with the makers of the show, things did not would work out due to some reasons and makers finally had to sign Shakti and Bhavika. Now, during a recent even, Fahmaan finally got candid about the reason why he turned down the offer to be a part of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and decided to continue with his commitment with the ongoing show Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii on Colors TV.
Speaking of turning down the lead character of Ishaan, Fahmaan told Telly Masala, "Jis commitment mei reh chuka tha, jis show ka mai commitment kar chuka hoon, uss show ko chhord bhi nahi sakta mai. Agar extension mil gaya hai toh I will continue with that show and I'm gonna give my 100%."
Talking about Dharampatnii getting an extension, the actor added, "Dekho ye dusri zindagi hai, it's the second life to the show. Jaise wo Nawaz (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) sahab ne kaha tha ki 'Maut ko choo ke thak se wapas aa gaye.' Toh waisa wala situation hai, I'm really glad it has happened. And, I'm looking forward kyunki hum log bohot mehnat kar rahe hai hum dobara. Kyunki agar ko extension mila hai toh double mehnat karni padegi. Iss waqt humei 10 O'clock ka slot mila hai toh Anupamaa ke against hai hum and it's a big thing. Bohot badi cheez hai. Toh maine apne makers se, jo apne creatives hai, unn sab se yahi baat ki that now we've to be double cautious. You know, pull up our socks and do well. Toh, let's see, looking forward to it." It’s no secret, Dharampatnii is all set to meet its conclusion and that's when he was approached for GHKKPM. However, Fahmaan’s current show is all set to get an extension and he continued to be a part of it.
