Anita Hassanandani – Ekta Kapoor
TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor launched Anita Hassanandani in Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli
in 2001 and the two have been thick friends since then. When we asked Anita who
her best friend is, she immediately named Ekta. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress
says, “She is a lovely friend, who always gives great advice. Professionally,
she has guided me really well. We have been friends for more than 15 years.”
Adaa Khan – Shashank Vyas
Late actress Pratyusha Banerjee introduced her
Balika Vadhu co-star Shashank Vyas to Naagin actress Adaa Khan and that’s how
their friendship started. Adaa says, “My best friend in the industry is
Shashank. We have been buddies for about 4-5 years. We don’t demonstrate our
friendship, but we know we are there for each other. At any point, he is just a
phone call away. We don’t meet every day and don’t like partying, so we go out
for quite dinners and coffee chats. The person who introduced us is Pratyusha,
who is not with us anymore. I will always be thankful to her for giving me this
friend. Shashank is a very simple, humble and down-to-earth guy, who he is very
different from others in the industry. He also loves travelling like I do.”
Kamya Punjabi – Rajiv
Thakur
TV’s vamp Kamya Punjabi met Rajiv Thakur on the
sets of Comedy Circus in 2008 and the two hit it off instantly. The Bigg Boss 7
contestant says, “Rajiv is my best friend, my partner in Box Cricket League,
the captain of my team and someone whom I can trust blindly. He has been with
me for close to 10 years … even before my daughter was born. We don’t meet or
talk on a regular basis, but he is someone I can count on.”
Aishwarya Sakhuja – Pooja Sharma
Aishwarya and Pooja were Miss India finalists in 2006, and they have been
friends since then. While Aishwarya became popular as Toasty in Saas Bina
Sasural, Pooja became a household name playing Draupadi in Mahabharat.
Aishwarya says, “I have quite a few friends in the industry, but if I have to
take just one name, it would be Pooja. We started our journey together and have
grown together. We have kept away from the regular frills attached to the
industry. Pooja is family to me. She does not mince her words and I really
appreciate her honesty.”
Gaurav Gera – Mona Singh
Gaurav and Mona played best friends in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin and their
friendship continued off-screen as well. Gaurav, who is popular as Chutki on
social media, says, “We connected on the sets of Jassi and have always stayed
in touch. In fact, we live close by. Mona and I share the purest form of
friendship -- it’s been 13 years. We think alike and we have similar
upbringing. For us, every day is Friendship Day.”
Tinaa Dattaa – Vikas Bhalla
Vikas Bhalla was cast opposite Tinaa Dattaa in the popular
show Uttaran and their on-screen chemistry was much-talked about. But
off-screen the two are just great friends. Says Tinaa, “Vikas is a very good
friend of mine. He is someone who has always stood by me, supported me and
showed me the right path. He is my guiding light.”
