Actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal took the internet and headlines by storm when she quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah after 15 years of being a part of the show. She had taken to her official handles to accuse producer Asit Kumarr Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj of harassment and sexual misconduct. Following her example actresses Priya Ahuja Rajda,former director Malav Rajda and Monika Bhadoriya too opened up about the injustice they had to face.
In a statement, the police official confirmed the reports and shared that the investigation on the matter is currently ongoing. Sharing her take on the matter, Jennifer revealed that she went to the Powai police station after waiting for more than a month for them to take action. She told ETimes, “After patiently waiting on my case, I decided to go to the police station once again last night. I was at the Powai police station from 7.30 to 12.30 PM. The officials have finally registered an FIR against Asit Kumarr Modi and others.”

Talking about the incident that prompted her to take action against the makers, the actress, who essayed the role of Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi for the past 15 years, took place on March 7. She had informed the makers earlier that she wanted a half day as it was her wedding anniversary and Holi and her daughter was really excited to celebrate the day with her. However, instead of letting her leave, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj threatened her. They proceeded to send her a notice on March 24 stating that “I left the shoot and they are losing money. This was ulta chor Kotwal ko Dante. They wanted to scare me.” She countered the notice by filing a case against them.
