It seems like these days, YouTuber Elvish Yadav and controversies go hand-in-hand. Days after making the headlines for assaulting fellow YouTuber Sagar Thakur, also known as Maxtern, he was arrested by the Noida police on Sunday in the snake venom case. Post his arrest he was sent to 14-day judicial custody due to his alleged involvement in the snake venom case. For the unversed, it was highly reported that the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner supplied snake venom at his parties. Weeks after denying the allegations about his involvement in the row, he has now admitted to the same.
As reported by NDTV, Elvish admitted that he arranged snakes and snake venom at the rave parties he organised. The media publication reports that he confessed to knowing the other accused, who was arrested for supplying snake venom last year, as per the police officials. The 26-year-old, who became a household name due to his stint in the controversial reality show, admitted that he met the accused at many rave parties and was in contact with them. NDTV reports that the YouTuber will face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act along with a case under the Wildlife Act. Section 29 of the stringent law deals with drug-related conspiracies like buying and selling. It is to be noted, that bail isn’t easily granted under this law. Elvish has also been accused of using snakes in his video shoots. As per the officials, he had earlier confessed that Bollywood singer Fazilapuria arranged those snakes for him. Five people have been arrested in the case after a raise at a banquet hall in Noida, four of them were snake charmers. Nine snakes and snake venom were also seized from the party. According to the publication, the raid was followed by a complaint, after an NGO member had laid a trap and contacted Elvish Yadav for snake venom. The member was given a phone number which led him to the five accused.
