Destiny has its own way of unfolding things. A few days back, we told you how Dipika Kakar got the role in her forthcoming show, Kahan Hum Kahan Tum, co-starring Karan V Grover. We also told you that before Dipika, Divyanka Tripathi was almost finalised for the show but citing date issues, she had to opt out of it.
We got in touch with Divyanka to know what she feels about Dipika playing the lead role in the Sandiip Sikcand’s new presentation, and the actress, with a li’l bit of disappointment of not being able to do the show, said, “My web series, Cold Lassi And Chicken Masala, couldn't leave me on time so we all felt someone else should be cast for it.”
Divyanka also said that the character was written a lot like her in real life. “It's a great show with an unusual story line. I got so connected to it as the lead's character sketch was written quite close to my personal self. I want the show to see great heights,” Divyanka quipped.

When we had spoken to Dipika, a few days back, about the show, she had told us how the show fell in her lap. She had said, “It was destined to come do me. I remember before entering Bigg Boss house, Sandiip had discussed about this show to me. He even told me that he is considering me and Divyanaka for it. In fact, one more girl was in his mind. He asked me to give a look test but unfortunately we didn't get time to do that as I had to go inside the Bigg Boss house. So, after the reality show ended, I thought that by now the project must have gone on floors, as it was already 4 months after our first discussion. But one day, suddenly Sandiip called me saying that the project has not gone on floors as Divyanaka was finalised and ready to shoot but due to her date issues she had to back out. So, that’s how it came back to me and I am extremely happy about it.”
Back to the lady who couldn’t do the show. “I wish Sandiip Sikcand, Karan and Dipika have a memorable time shooting for the show. I believe everything happens for good, for everyone,” concluded Divyanka.
