Disha Parmar QUITS Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, After Co-Star Nakuul Mehta; Says, ‘I Had My Apprehensions, I Wasn't Happy’

Television actress Disha Parmar is all set to bid adieu to Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, after her co-star Nakuul Mehta announced his exit from the show. The show is all set to take a 20-year generation leap, which is why they decided to take quit the show and make for new characters. Disha and Nakuul, who had worked together in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, essayed the role of Ram and Priya on the show.

During an interaction with ETimes, Disha opened up about her decision to quit the show. After being associated with the show for more than a year, she feels now is the time to move on to newer projects. She said, “When the makers introduced a leap and I had to play a mom to a five-year old girl, I had my apprehensions. But, then the track was very interesting and I enjoyed it. “But, now with the 20-year leap, I felt that I have given my best to the show and after one-and-a-half years, it's time to move on. I would not say I am quitting the show, but moving on to new projects and new beginnings. Bade... was a great experience and I enjoyed it thoroughly,” the actress added.

The 28-year-old actress expressed that television serials can get monotonous after sometime and that churning out episodes every day is not an easy task. She went on to express the while there were days when she wasn’t happy with the plot she really enjoyed playing Priya on the show. ALSO READ: WHAT! For the unversed, the rumours about Nakuul and Disha quitting the show have been doing rounds on the internet for quite some time. It was being said that the duo was reluctant to play characters far older than their real age. With the generation leap, the story of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 will now focus on their daughter Pihu. Hiten Tejwani will be replacing Nakuul on the show. He will be seen playing the character of Lakhan, Ram’s estranged brother on the show.
