Bharti Singh reminisced about her days as a national-level rifle shooter when she couldn't afford her own rifle, unlike her fellow competitors. She shared that this experience motivated her to strive for financial success. After a long hiatus, Bharti recently resumed her shooting practice and documented it in her latest vlog. Interestingly, during her practice session, Bharti demonstrated some impressive shots, and her coach recommended that she should resume regular training. Sharing how passionate about rifle shooting she is, the 39 year old said, “15 years ago when I used to practice rifle shooting. Jab main nationals ke liye jaati thi tab sabki apni apni rifle hoti thi aur hum University ke taraf se jaate the. Tab main apne aap ko bada kosti thi (When I went for the nationals, everyone had their own rifle and we were sent on behalf of our university. I used to curse myself a lot). I told myself that I have to earn a lot of money and buy my own rifle." She further talks about her busy schedule and says that she only gets free time in the evening when her son Gola, and her dog Bhura are not around her. She added that it is the best time for her to practice shooting.
Earlier in a 2021 interview with Maniesh Paul, Bharti discussed her past as a professional archer and rifle shooter. She revealed that she had pursued sports primarily to secure a consistent source of food for her family, as they were grappling with significant financial hardships during that period.
