Aditya Narayan is gearing up to marry his longtime sweetheart Shweta Agarwal. SpotboyE recently brought you the details of his close-knit wedding affair. The singer and TV reality show host revealed to us that owing to the pandemic, it’s going to be a small affair with immediate family members and friends in attendance. Aditya and Shweta will have a simple temple wedding on December 1. But did you know when Aditya had approached Shweta for a lunch date for the first time, she had rejected him? Well, we have not made this up, it’s the groom-to-be who has spilt the beans on facing rejection in the early phase.

Speaking to Zoom TV, Aditya revealed that he had initially asked Shweta out on a lunch date which wasn’t a date kind of set-up. Jr Narayan further revealed that it was his mother who had planted this idea in his head. Speaking to the channel, he said, “Actually, one cannot call my first date, a date in real because we were shooting for our film, Shaapit, at that time. I asked her to hang out with me and have lunch, it wasn't a date kind of set-up. In fact, she had rejected me for that matter as well. Then, my mother was the one who told her that you should have lunch together since you both are doing a film. So, we went to a restaurant named 5 Spice in Oshiwara, and vo muh fulaake baithi thi for 30 minutes as if she had no interest in life. ”

He further added, “Bohot badi meherbani ki thi saamne baithke (laughs). And finally, when our film got completed, I remember my cousins had come over. They had come to meet me in Kolkata. I clearly remember she liked me for the first time when she saw me bonding with my family members, so she realised that I am a family man, and for me, relations matter. Because even she had heard bad things about me that main ladkiyan ghumata tha (chuckles). So, I could understand her apprehension.”

He concluded saying, “When we were promoting our film, she heard me singing live for the first time and realised that I sing well.
