A few weeks ago TV actress Deepika Singh’s mother had tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus. Unfortunately back then her mother couldn’t find a bed in a hospital in Delhi. Despite the actress’ father’s numerous efforts, but couldn’t find a bed, which compelled the actress to take to her social networking account asking for help pleading the Delhi Government. As she posted this video of her narrating her not-so-good experience and difficulty in finding a bed, she was trolled on the internet as her mother was unwell.
In her latest conversation with Bombay Times, she spilled the beans, she stated though she was trolled online, this video strongly helped her reach out for help in time. She was quoted saying by the publication, “Many people dissed me for being active on social media while my mother was unwell. Well, I strongly feel that help reached in time because I posted that video.”
Speaking about her harrowing experience back then when her mother was tested positive, she said, “My father ran from pillar to post, but in vain. I couldn’t travel to Delhi, because my son, Soham, is only three years old. Seeing no other way to secure help, I posted the video. Almost immediately, I received a call from Delhi Government officials, and I am thankful to them.”
She also posted a thank you note after her mother’s recovery, followed by which her grandmother Sheila Devi too had tested positive for it. Meanwhile both her mother and grandmother are recovering. Deepika said, “While we have adapted to the new normal, it’s difficult to make elderly people understand the importance of social distancing. We need to handle them with care and patience.” ALSO READ: Diya Aur Baati Hum Fame Deepika Singh's Mother Recovers From COVID-19; Lady Heaves A Sigh Of Relief, 'She Is Back Home And Safe'
