The TV Czarina Ekta, sadly, came with a frozen shoulder and left a bit early. She said, “I mess up with second seasons. Naagin one was a hit. I messed up with the second season. Then, Season three picked up." Furthermore, speaking of Kavach 2, Kapoor said, “This is the best second season that I have made.”
Speaking of the show, SpotboyE.com had exclusively revealed that Namik Paul was dropped from Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 by Ekta, as she wanted to offer him the lead role in Kavach 2. A source close to Balaji Productions told us that Namik auditioned for Kavach 2 and Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, on the same day at Klick Nixon studios and got finalised for Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. But the twist came when Ekta saw his auditions for both the shows, and ultimately decided to choose him as the lead of Kavach 2 instead of the other one.
Also, we were the first to reveal to you that Deepika Singh is making a comeback with this show. A source close to Kavach 2 had told us, "Deepika and Namik shot for their mahurat scene in a Shiv Temple located in Naigaon. Deepika looked very happy, she waited quite a bit before getting a nice break. She did not want to take up anything fluffy for just the heck of it."
Another interesting piece of news that we brought you is that the actress will have a double role on the show. She will essay the protagonist Sandhya and also portray the role of Daayan on the show which premieres on June 1. Coincidentally, her screen name in Diya Aur Baati Hum was also Sandhya.
Expressing her happiness about the same, in an earlier conversation with us, Deepika had told us, "It’s just a coincidence. When I auditioned for the show, the name was already decided along with the concept its concept. I guess the Universe conspired so that I get the same amount of love and support from my fans yet again. I hope and pray that the show gets immense love and acceptance.”
