Television actress Dalljiet Kaur made a name for herself in the Hindi entertainment industry with her versatile acting performances and charming personality. Having faced her fair share of ups and downs in her personal life, she always picks herself up and maintains an easy-going smile on her face. After separating from her ex-husband Shalin Bhanot, she found love in Kenya-based business Nikhil Patel. However, even that relationship failed after she called him out for having an extra-marital affair, a year after their wedding.
Quoted by the Free Press Journal, the legal notice read, “Pending the hearing and final determination of this application, an injunction is hereby issued restraining the Respondent (Patel), his agents, employees, and/or servants from evicting the Petitioner/Applicant (Kaur) and her child (Jaydon) and/or throwing out and/or whatsoever dealing with the personal effects and belongings of the Petitioner/Applicant in her matrimonial home (in Kenya).” It is to be noted that, the next hearing in the case is scheduled for June 28, 2024.

For the unversed, Dalljiet Kaur found love in Nikhil Patel after divorcing her ex-husband Shalin Bhanot in 2015. In a previous interview, before their wedding, the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? actress had said, “I met Nick at a friend’s party in Dubai last year. I only spoke about my son, and he was talking about his two daughters, 13-year-old Aariyana and eight-year-old Aanika. He wore blue nail polish on his toes, and when I asked him about it, he replied, ‘I am a proud dad of two girls.’ Romance wasn’t in the air back then; it was just two single parents chatting. Love happened with time. It was our love for our children that connected us.”
When asked about the reason behind their separation, Nikhil revealed that Dalljiet couldn’t handle the move to Kenya as she had to leave her family and career behind. He also explained that they hosted their wedding ceremony in March 2023, to reassured Dalljiet's family about her move to Kenya. While the ceremony held “cultural significance, it was not legally binding.” He went on to express, “Dalljiet found it challenging to adjust to life in Kenya, missing her career and life in India. The complexities of our family dynamics became increasingly apparent.”
